A turn-based skeleton smasher. One hero, two loyal dog companions, and an endless tide of rattling bones.
Made for the Cookie Jam #4.
Features
- Aim for the bones that matter. Every skeleton has six targetable parts — head, torso, two arms, two legs, each with its own hit chance, damage, and crit odds.
- Risk vs. reward, every swing. Go for the head for huge crits and a quick kill… if you can land it. Or chip away at the limbs with safe, reliable hits.
- Endless waves. The horde scales up the deeper you push. Keep your hero and your dogs standing.
- Skill shop between waves. Bank your wins into permanent upgrades that buff your whole pack.
- Retro to the bone. Pixel sprites, NES palette, Press Start 2P, and a satisfying camera shake on every clean hit.
How to Play
It runs right in your browser — just click to start. Mouse only.
- PRESS START — click the prompt on the title screen.
- Pick a target — click any skeleton on screen to lock it in.
- Pick a body part — the target panel shows all six parts with their stats:
- MISS% — how likely the attack whiffs
- DMG — damage on a hit
- CRIT% — chance to double it
- Hover a part to preview it on the skeleton; click to select it.
- Attack — hit the big ATTACK button to commit the bite.
- Take your turns — your side gets 3 actions per turn, shared across your hero and dogs. Then the skeletons strike back automatically — watch out.
- Win the wave → choose a skill, then fight on.
How to Kill a Skeleton
A skeleton drops the moment its head OR torso is destroyed. Two ways in:
- Headhunter — high damage, high crit, but low hit chance. Big payoff, big risk.
- Body blow — the torso has more HP but lands far more reliably. The safe route.
- Limbs won't kill, but they're nearly guaranteed hits — handy chip damage.
The Skill Shop
After clearing a wave, pick one upgrade. Each stacks +5% and buffs every character on your team:
- CRITICAL — +5% crit chance. Land deadlier bites.
- VITALITY — +5% max health. Tougher hide.
- SHARP TEETH — +5% attack damage. Bite harder.
Game Over
Lose all your characters and the run ends. Restart to reset your skills and take another crack at the horde.
